Hello, everyone…my name is James. I am eleven years old. I am in 6th class. I have two older and two younger sisters. I live on a farm. My interests are hurling, soccer, football, reading and listening to music. I type this letter with my left hand as my right hand is presently broken. This year 6th class is taking responsibility for collecting, editing , updating and uploading all the work that is given to us by the rest of the school. There are two computers in each classroom, one in the office and one in Ms. Murphy’s room, giving a total of ten computers in the school. We also have a laptop. There are computer lessons once a week for every classroom. Every week we get an hour to work on our projects for the website and to upload work from all the classrooms. On the table below I will show you the groups and which computers they are using.
As editor it is my job to correct spelling and grammatical errors and to rephrase sentences where necessary. I will also try to make sure that we use similar layout and font sizes from story to story. Before anything is uploaded I must bring it to the teacher for a final check. I hope to meet my target of getting the job done well before my time as editor runs out at Hallowe’en. Yours truly, James, September 2003. |
