Malin is one of the most northerly villages in Ireland and has in the recent past been the recipient of the coveted accolade of "Ireland's Tidiest Town" not once, but twice! The village is laid out along each side of a triangular shaped green area, beautifully decorated by flower beds and bordered by trees. As you approach the village from the south you cross over a unique ten-arched stone bridge believed to be the only one of its kind in the country.

The picture, below, shows the village green and the very popular Malin Hotel, a great place for savouring the local atmosphere. The immediate area has some fabulous beaches and natural rugged scenery. For the golf enthusiast, a short drive takes you to the magnificent links course at Ballyliffin.

With car ferries now running between Greencastle and Magilligan and between Buncrana and Rathmullan the village is ideally located for those wishing to explore the whole northern part of Ireland.
