The Wicklow Regatta Festival will start on Friday 27th June to Monday 6th August , at the moment the programme is being put together and a list of maritime events will be listed here in the coming weeks.

Arklow Maritime Museum

Arklow’s maritime history stretches back centuries, since being established by the Vikings . Today , Arklow Shipping Ltd has the largest fleet of ships flying the Irish flag. The museum is worth visiting to view the large collection of paintings , models and photographs of Arklow reflecting its long maritime tradition.

National Sea-Life Centre -  Bray

Explore life under the sea in Giant aquarium’s with many sea creatures from Sea Horses to Sharks from around the Globe and our own seashore on display , l have taken my kids here on a few occasion’s and they ask to go back again , they were very impressed with the sharks especially at feeding time .

The Bridge Tavern - Bridge Street Wicklow .

My local , it also happens to be the birthplace of Wicklow's most famous seafarer  Captain Halpin, they serve a good pint and bar food , the decor has a maritime theme.

Jimmy serves a nice pint and the walls are full of maritime photo's .
