' Rescue 116 '

The Irish Coastguard s61-n helicopter "Rescue 116" airlifts a 14 year old boy to hospital , after he fell down cliffs at the Glen strand, south of Wicklow harbour. Also on scene were Wicklow lifeboat, Wicklow Ambulance Service, a local doctor, Gardai and members of the Wicklow inshore Coastguard unit.

The flight crew were Capt Grant "Sid" Lawrence, SFO Ed Shivnen , winch op Paul Ormsby , and winch men Alan Gallagher, and Nick O Hara. The reason for two winch men !! they were on a training exercise when they were retasked.
