You could also ask your service
people (e.g. postmen, milkmen, waste disposal men etc.) as
they travel your area each day and may have spotted your pet
somewhere.
Take photographs of your pet
regularly, apart from being nice to have, in the event of
your pet going missing it can be very valuable to tracing
him/her.
Put up posters in your area
with a description of your pet (and your most recent photo)
and a contact number/s. Occasionally you may get crank
calls so only post your mobile number - not your home number.
You can post a Lost or Found notice of your pet with us here
giving us a brief description of your pet, (Male/Female, Breed,
Colour, Size, Neutered/Spayed or not, Collar details, Name,
Microchipped details etc.), tell us when and where it was
lost, stolen or found and your name, address and phone number.
You can e-mail a photograph if you have one (please ensure
it is less than 200kbs - no broadband in this area yet!)
If you and your pet are reunited
we would be very grateful if you would let us know so we can
eliminate your pet from our search - thank you.
We would recommend that you microchip
your pet. This is a very simple way of tracing your
pet back home to you if they are lost and found. Ask
us or your vet for more details. |
