Thursday Women's Group

Church of the Resurrection Meetings take place each Thursday night at 8:00 p.m. in the Meeting room at the Priests house. Meetings include an Opening Prayer to Our Lady, conversation, sharing of skills and craftwork. New members are welcome. Contact Maire McCarthy.

Services Based in the Centre:

Meals on Wheels Meals are provided for 50-60 elderly people on six days a week by a team of voluntary helpers and drivers.   Senior Citizens Club Meet each Thursday at Scoil Mhuire na nAingeal from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Activities include: cards, bingo, dancing, music.   Charismatic Prayer Group This group meets each Thursday at 8:00 p.m. in the Social Services Centre.   Active Retirement Association Meetings take place in the Social Service Hall, Morton St. on Thursday at 3:00 p.m. For further information contact the Secretary, Brid Burke (052) 21 212.   Alcoholics Anonymous Self help group for people recovering from alcoholism. Meetings take place in the Social Service Hall, Morton St. on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. and on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Contact (052) 26 770 for further details.   Al-Anon (Family Group) Support group for the families of those affected by alcoholism. Meetings take place in the Social Service Centre, Morton St. on Tuesday at 8:30 p.m.
