The Website is having a major refit, facelift, nose-job, and a tuck or three. Please be patient if it doesn't work too well over the next while. However, most of the bugs have been squashed by now, so hopefully it'll be all fixed up soon.

July 2nd, 1999 marked my first full day of Internet access. It didn't take long for me to start wondering how to create my first Website. This, perhaps the sixth incarnation of my Home Page, is the result.

Here you'll find republished items from my Irish free-lance writing days, and new material that appears only on the Internet. The theme of the site is Irishness, in the sense of one person's view of it, that person being me, who was born here and has lived here all my life. If you're not particularly interested in this country, but like the written word, descriptive prose, nature, and an examination of the growing-up process (in my experience, a very *long* process), then I hope you'll like the pieces displayed here.
