        WLS recruits suitably qualified linguists for its world-wide panels of freelance
        Translators, Translation Tutors,
        Interpreters and Language Tutors.
        A description of the work involved and basic qualifications for each category are set out below. If you wish to be included on any of the panels, please click the appropriate link(s) to register.


REDBALL Translators
    We translate from and into all Europe-originated languages, including Scandinavian, Greek and Eastern European. In the case of English, Spanish, French and Portuguese as target languages we use translators who are native speakers of geographical variants according to client's requirements i.e. a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker if Brazil is the target document destination. As such we welcome applications from native speakers of all varieties of these languages. We handle all types of documents and do not specialize in any area.
    Requirements for registration::
    • Mother tongue speakers of target language
    • Specific translation qualifications into the mother tongue OR academic qualifications with substantial professional experience
    • Computing and Communication facilities i.e. word-processing, e-mail and fax
    • Based in target language country or Ireland/U.K

REDBALLTranslation Tutors
    These tutors correct work for students taking our translation courses by distance learning. We currently offer these courses from English into French, German, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and vice-versa. Dutch and Greek options are currently being established. Course tutors are mother tongue speakers of the student's target language and may be based, like our students, anywhere in the world. We particularly welcome applications from tutors based in the United States, Canada, Central and South America.
    Requirements for registration:
    • Mother-tongue speakers of any variety of English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch or Greek
    • Specific translation qualifications into the mother tongue
    • Experience in professional translation
    • Experience in teaching or training
    • Computing and Communication facilities
    • Based anywhere in the world

REDBALLInterpreters
    We provide a consecutive and simultaneous interpreting service from and into all European languages. This service includes court cases, business meetings, conferences and all types of subject matters. The service is mainly supplied in the Republic of Ireland with some assignments in the United Kingdom and continental Europe.
    Requirements for registration:
    • Mother-tongue speakers of target language for simultaneous interpreting
    • Mother-tongue speaker of one language and near native level oral competence of other working language for consecutive intepreting
    • Specific interpreting qualification OR substantial professional experience
    • Based in Europe but preferably in Ireland

REDBALLLanguage Tutors
    These tutors teach business or general language to company employees in their own premises or prepare individual students for interviews, exams, holidays at our premises. Courses are currently provided in all European languages, Chinese and Japanese but we also welcome applications from speakers of other languages. These activities are confined to the Irish Republic and mainly in the Dublin area and surrounding counties.
    Requirements for registration
    • Mother tongue speakers of European languages, Japanese, Chinese or other
    • Qualified language teachers OR qualified linguists with substantial experience
    • Based in Dublin or surrounding areas
