Wexford Rape Crisis Centre was founded in 1995.

In 2001 we changed our name to Wexford Rape & Sexual Abuse Support Service because that name  better reflects the work we do.

When people hear the term "rape crisis" they can be misled into thinking that they can only come to us if they have been recently raped.

In fact, the greater part of our work deals with  past sexual abuse.
