Hi
I wonder if you can help me. Its a bit of a long story but to cut it
short I have been asked to find some information on a family from
the townland of Ballynacree in the parish of Killeagh Co Meath. Now
I can't find Killeagh anywhere on any maps, but I have found
Ballynacree! I would be looking for birth/death records from around
mid 1700's to mid 1800's. Could you please advise on where I might
find these records??I live the other side of Athboy so it is no
problem taking a trip out to you
if the records are kept in the local area.
I would be most greatful for your help and look forward to hearing
from you soon
Many Thanks

matties Caldwell's brother. Thanks for a great web page The history

Hello
you good people from Ballinacree
My name is Joan Patricia Le Main nee
Brady and I was born in Pollakeel House in Mountnugent 23rd July
1946 and my parents were Hugh and Molly Brady, they are both buried
in Moylough Cemetery , outside Oldcastle, I have four sisters and a
brother, they are Maura,Rosa, Loyola, Una and Edward. I attended
Ballinacree National School and Gilson Secondary School in
Oldcastle, County Meath, following thias I did a full time course at
Balljamesduff Convent School where I did a fdull time typing /
secretarial course.
Following this I worked in Dublin for
several months then I applied to a nursing course/training at the
Meath Hospital where I trained and spent 4 years, after completing
my training and having become a fully trained nurse I then worked at
various hospitals in Dublin, London and I decided to work in Jersey
in 1975, whilst there I met and married a young Jerseyman ,
unfortunately he is now an old Jerseyman, we have a daughter Rosa
who is aged 21 years and has just completed a degree at Plymouth
University, I am still working as a Staff nurse at the Jersey
Hospitals Group on a part time basis.
On your website I was very pleased to
see a school photograph of which two of my sisters and I were
included, really brought back very happy memories.
I would be very pleased to hear from
anyone that knew me when I lived in Mountnugent and they would be
very welcome to visit us at our home in Jersey
Out of interest Terry my husband is one of the longest serving
members of the Jersey Parliament and is currently the Minister of
Housing ( there are no party
politics in Jersey all members are inndependents )
I would be pleased to hear from
anyone Ballinacree or Mountnugent and we can be contacted via email
or otherwise and thank you your website is very good,
Congratulations !

Gabrielle
and I had a really interesting night in April with you all
Congratulations on your super website
--- somebody is putting a lot of work into it
We have a copy of that school photo 1954/55
I remember well the event. The photographer had a tripod camera and
put a black cloth over his head and part of the camera when he went
to take the shot.
Hope to make it to one of your nights again.

Greetings
and congratulations. This is a very interesting and well done web
site. Even more: It has just given me one of the biggest surprises
of my life. There I was, passing a little time surfing at random
around the country when I found myself looking at a photograph of
some of my ancestors, taken according to the caption around 1900.
These are people about whom I quite literally know next to nothing.
I would be most interested to know where this photo came from and if
there are any other similar ones in existence. Also, does anybody
know just who is who in that picture?
With best wishes,
Bill Matthews

Hello
there,
Saw your photograph on the web. I'm afraid I can't offer you any information on the year and to add to your problem I am hoping that
you might be able to help me. I have a question in regard to the
Kathleen Clarke in the photograph. Is she the 'Revolutionary Woman' Kathleen Clarke
because I am desperately trying to get some information on her for
my special topic in history for my leaving cert. Information on her is very thin on
the ground so maybe you can help me???
Sorry that I can't be of more help to you!

My
mother Katharine Graal nee Kitty Cullen from the townland of Clonty
Duffy is 82 years old and has lived in Coventry, England since the
early 1950s. But her mind still walks the lanes and avenues of
Ballinacree as if it was yesterday. On Christmas day we sat down
together in front of a computer - "not a right thing" she
said - and looked at all the photos on your wonderful website. Every
photo prompted a flood of vivid memories and stories that kept us
entertained for hours. Thank you.
