In February of this year (2000) we registered as a Green School with An Taisce and Kildare County Council.

We established our green school committee which consists of some parents and a large number  of students.

Our main concerns for the school following the first meeting and concentrating on the Litter and Waste theme were;

1. That we needed to take responsibility for the reduction of litter in and around the school.

2. We needed to promote recycling.

3. We needed a new waste management scheme.
