Aims & Objectives

The YMCA aims to engage young people in activities and processes which stimulate them physically, socially and spiritually and which develop decision making skills & personal autonomy.

Programmes

Youth Information Fully comprehensive Youth Information Service (See Cork Youth Information Centre).
S.T.E.P. 20 week pre-vocational and personal development training course for 18-25 yr. old unemployed young people.
Mothers Alone Support and educational courses for isolated young mothers - crèche provided.
Afternoon Job Clubs and Voluntary Services Groups.
Peer Education Alcohol, Drugs and HIV Peer Education Programmes in schools, youth groups, summer camps.
