What Greater Sites
is all about:
The home page of Greater Sites is a very useful page for the new &
not so new computer user. All the other pages of Greater Sites are
linked from here, such as PC Help, Digital Photo & Home Cinema.
It has it's own Google search engine and a Daily Links section with
links to web sites that you might use on a daily basis. So by using
Greater Sites as your home page, you are always only a click or a
search away from where you want to go. So
where did it all begin:
I first put this web site together, as my own reference as links
to web sites, related to computer sites and other web sites that
interested me. Then being a computer fanatic, I had friends ringing
me up asking me how to do certain tasks on their computer. That
gave me the idea on displaying the help info on my web site. Computer
help on every thing that people were asking me, so to keep things
simple I built the PC Basic web site, which explains in detail,
most of the everyday tasks. This is a great site for new computer
users, because every thing is explained in a short paragraph.
Digital Photography:
So I built a site called Digital Photo to help other users get around
the basic tasks, such as getting their pictures to PC, resizing
their images and so on. The same applies to the Digital Video section,
for people with Digital Camcorders.
As a fan of Home Cinema I have also done a site called Home Cinema,
explaining what it is and how it works.
Now, in every subject site, you will find lots of useful links.
(for example: the Digital Photo site has links to sites where you
can buy Digital Cameras, Photo Editing Software & more DP help
sites.)
As for the Computer page this is made up of very useful links such
as: Computer News, Drivers, DVD Recording and Computer Shopping.
Greater Sites has already won three Awards, two Golden Web Awards
for 2002/2003 & 2003/2004, Plus a Diamond Web Award.
