So what's the difference between a hand held body fat analyzer and a set of body fat scales?
Other than being a little more portable and lightweight… very little. They both use exactly the same technology as each other and produce a similar level of accuracy and consistency.

Body fat analyzers and body fat scales are also priced similarly. Omron make a model for under $60 (about the same as the lowest priced set of scales). The only real difference is that body fat scales double as weighing scales. It's this fairly insignificant point that, in my opinion, gives scales the edge over body fat analyzers.
