Smooth Treadmill Reviews |
Smooth Treadmills are very respected in the industry, both from Fitness
professionals and from the general public, so much so that they lead
on-line Treadmill sales. Smooth treadmills are mid price range machines priced between $1000-$3100 (with free shipping in the USA). You should expect to pay $1000 upwards if you intend to use your treadmill for serious running, and you want your treadmill to last. They are a brand that have built a fantastic reputation for great build quality along with excellent reliability, Runners World Magazine placed Smooth treadmills in their Top 10 3 years ago. They gave Smooth top rating for quietness, ranked them in the second place for pace accuracy and stability, and one of the highest ratings for cushioning. Other reviews from Treadmill Doctor ,Monster, and Kiplinger gave equally enthusiastic reports. Smooth lead the market when it comes to warranties, even the most basic machines come with 5 years and most have 10 years on their motors. They also have a “no argument“ 30 day guarantee on all machines. If you don’t like it-return it.

Treadmill has been Smooth’s best seller for several years now.
For the $999 asking price, it has an 18’’ x 52” belt,
huge 2.5 HP motor and 9 preset programs. To top all that off it feels
like it will last a life time and with that 10 year warranty it probably
will. Folding: No

Smooth Treadmill doesn’t really improve upon the 5.0P, despite
the extra $300 they charge for it. It has a bigger deck, it is stronger,
and it still has all the Smooth virtues. Folding: No
We Like: Again
the Smooth 7.1 is very similar to the 5.0P, but it comes more complete
with some bells and whistles. You can read your pulse via a heart rate
strap without having to hold onto the front grip. Folding: Yes (Power)
Smooth 9.1P and 9.1HR Treadmills We Like: The
9 series Treamdmills from Smooth are a move closer to club class. Upon
initial inspection it might not look all that different from the 5.0P,
it is a bigger and much heaver machine. It weighs 275 lb compared with
the 5.0P weighing 180lb, it does however have the same 2.5 HP motor.
This model comes with 15% elevation which can create some very challenging
workouts. We Dislike: Once again our dislikes are so few that they hardly warrant a mention. One possible improvement would be a higher top speed of 12 mph which can be found on similar priced brands. Folding: No
Smooth 9.2P and 9.2HR Treadmills We Like: Like
the model above, the Smooth 9.2 is available either with or without
heart rate control. The Smooth 9.2 is a serious machine for serious
runners, it has a huge 3.0 HP motor, 14 preset programs and a good sized
belt. With this model we are now in the $2000 price range and there
isn’t another Treadmill we can think of that offers so much in
terms of build quality and durability. We Dislike: The top speed of 10mph while adequate for most people is a little low for a 3.0 HP motor. Its very important to remember that the bigger a motor is, the longer it will last. Folding: No

9.3P and 9.3HR Treadmills Folding: No
