Trac TR 901 Treadmill Review |
$3,299.99 |
|
The TR901 treadmill is built around a 12-gauge welded steel
uniframe for superior stability. Its Impact Absorption System™
is derived from the commercial product line and was rated
Number One against major competitors in an independent study.
The deck is reversible to double its life span. Both the deck
and belt are rated for 6,000 miles. Advanced Pulse Width Modulation
(PWM) technology enables our powerful 2 HP continuous duty
motor to draw less current. It also puts less stress on electrical
components and allows a smooth, accurate full speed range,
especially at lower speeds.
What
We Like : The Star Trac 901 sits at the bottom
of the Star Trac range, but they claim it is made from commercial
strength components and we can confirm that it feels very
strong. Power is a little low from the 2.0 HP motor, but top
speed is adequate at 10 mph. The equipment levels are average
with all the necessities being present such as polar heart
arte telemetry, and no less than 250 workout programs.
What
We Dislike : That 2.0 HP motor is too small
for this Star Trac, Ok it will probably outlast many cheaper
2.5 HP motors.
As a comparison, Smooth
treadmills from Smooth Fitness should be considered. In
terms of build quality, design, and sheer value for money,
these treadmills are better than other brands costing twice
or three times as much – you will find it hard to beat
Smooth Treadmills.
