In Happy Days we always tell parents that our Playschool does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s a wonderful small group where the children gather together to play and learn with their classmates.
There are two members of staff in the Playschool room.
It is the youngest of our three pre-school classes and is headed by Corie & Karla who work closely with the children to teach them about sharing with and caring for their friends. They have devised a perfect curriculum which balances learning with fun in a safe, caring environment.
The children enjoy stories, arts and crafts, role play, messy play, music time, drama, gardening and baking. They are brought outside to our secure play area daily for group games and free play.
We understand that sometimes coming to Playschool is the first time that children are apart from their parents and that this transition can be difficult for the child. We also know from experience that with the correct guidance children can develop their personalities and can thrive when in an environment with children their own age.
Children do not have to be toilet trained to attend Playschool. We are fully aware that parents vary in the way they wish to guide their children through the toilet training process and we will always work alongside parents using exactly the same method of training as is used at home. This helps make things easier for the child.
'What a wonderful start to my son's education, a home from home. Just what every parent wants for their child.'
