Chinook left Helena, Montana, U.S.A. early in the morning on Oct. 3rd. Our bear is traveling with Betsy and Larry, the parents of Anna Nordell. Chinook said goodbye to all of the fifth graders in Helena and was excited to make the trip across the Atlantic. Chinook is anxious to travel with her new friends and learn all there is to learn in a new classroom. Chinook is a native American word. It is the name of a northern native American tribe. A chinook is a warm wind that blows along the eastern front of the Rocky Mountains. We hope Chinook warms your hearts during the time spent in Ireland.

We viewed Cara's website and have watched the count down. We can hardly wait until Cara can join us in our work and play. Adventures in Montana await her. We want to take her skiing, hiking, trick or treating, and out on many adventures. Have a safe journey, Cara.
