1912 Wedding Announcement for Olive Henrietta ZURBRICK (dau of Charles):
"A very pretty wedding was solemnized at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ZURBRICK of Forks on Wednesday, June 26, 1912 at 4pm, when their daughter Olive Henrietta, was united in marriage to Mr. Otto LANDEL of Williamsville, the Rev. John HARTMAN, pastor of the Lutheran Church, performing the ceremony. The bridal party entered the parlor to the strains of Mendelsohn's wedding march played by Miss Cora LANDEL, sister of the groom. The attendants were Miss Irene SCHOELLES, Miss Evelyn ZURBRICK and Mr. Chas. LANDEL. The bride wore a gown of ivory messaline with trimmings of imported princess lace and carried a bouquet of bride's roses. Miss SCHOELLES was tastefully gowned in white embroidered voile and carried pink carnations. A reception for the immediate families followed the ceremony. Mr. & Mrs. LANDEL with reside in their new home on Main Street, of this village, and they have best wishes of their many friends."
1915 Wedding Announcement for Evelyn ZURBRICK (dau of Charles):
"The home of Mr. & Mrs. Charles ZURBRICK of Forks was the scene of a pretty wedding Thurs. evening 30 Dec 1915, when their daughter, Evelyn, was united in marriage to Mr. Arthur E. WOELFFEL of Buffalo. Rev. J. HARTMAN of this village performed the ceremony, which took place in the living room before the bay window, which was tastefully decorated with garlands of green and white and white bells. The wedding march by Mendelssohn was played by Mrs. Otto LANDEL, sister of the bride. The attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert BAISCH of Tonawanda and Mr. Edgar ZURBRICK, brother of the bride. The bride's gown was of white crenaline with trimmings of shadow __ and pearls. She wore a becoming headdress of chiffon and orange blossoms and carried a bride's roses. Mrs. Herbert BAISCH, sister of the groom and matron of honor, was attired in her wedding gown of white silk crepe de chine and wore a corsage bouquet of pink roses. A reception to the immediate families followed the ceremony - covers were laid for sixteen. The young couple will reside in ___lo [probably Buffalo] and take with them the [day's] greetings and best wishes of relatives and friends for a [bright?] future."
Marriage Announcement for Sister-in-Law of Charles ZURBRICK -

ZURBRICK.]
"Last Wednesday afternoon, at four o'clock, Mr. William FRIES and Miss Kate MILDENBERGER were united in marriage at the Lutheran Church in Eggertsville [Erie co., NY]. The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. BOETTGER in the presence of many friends and relatives, after which they all followed in line to the home of the bride's mother at Cheektowaga, where a most enjoyable reception was held. The bridesmaids were Misses Amelia MILDENBERGER [this could be the one called Emily in other records] and Louisa FRIES, and groomsmen Messrs. Ernest BROCK and Henry MILDENBERGER. The bride was most becomingly arrayed in goblin blue bengaline silk. The maids wore spotless white. The happy couple were the recipients of a great many handsome presents, among them being a clock from the choir of the Lutheran church at Eggertsville, the bride having been a member. Mr. and Mrs. FRIES will make their home east of this village. Cor. xv., 49."
15th Anniversary of Mr. & Mrs. Ernest BROCK
- possible years for this article are 1881 or 1898, when Sept.
18 occurred on a Sunday.
- Emily MILDENBERGER was probably the one married to Ernest
BROCK c.1883.
- Emily or Amelia had siblings Mary E. MILDENBERGER ZURBRICK,
Henry MILDENBERGER and Catharine (Kate) MILDENBERGER FRIES. All were
present at the party, except brother Edgar MILDENBERGER.
"Fifteenth Anniversary Observed.
The crystal wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest BROCK was
very delightfuly observed at their pleasant home on Sunday, Sept. 18.
The house was prettily decorated with asters, the same flowers being
__ed on the tables. A delicious dinner, enjoyed by the guests, was
served at 5 o'clock. Many beautiful gifts of cut glass, silver and
--en were received by the bride and groom of 15 years. One gift was
especially attractive, being a cut glass piece filled with roses and ferns.
That Mr. and Mrs. BROCK might live to so happily celebrate many more anniversaries
was the departing wish of all. The guests were relatives, being Mr.
and Mrs. Loren BROCK and daughter Violet, Mrs. Wm. LAUX and family, Mrs.
Wm. BROCK and son _orman, Miss Stella BROCK and Miss --abelle [Anabelle?]
HARRIS of Buffalo, Mr. and Mrs. Frank RUMBOLD and sons Floyd and Clyde
of Tonawanda, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. ZURBRICK and son Edgar, Misses Olive
and Evelyn ZURBRICK and Mr. and Mrs. Henry MILDENBERGER and daughter
Ruth of Forks, and Mrs. and Mrs. William FRIES and family, Mr. and Mrs.
M. F. LONG and Miss Ethel REIST of this village. Those not able to
be among them sent notes of congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. BROCK, and
regrets for their inability to attend."
