The Quark Model

Quarks and their anitiparticles antiquarks, are elementary particles out of which baryons and mesons are made.

The quark model has brought an order to the hadrons. Using the quark model, the existence of other particles has been predicted.

There are six different types of quark:

Up | Down | Strange | Charmed | Bottom | Top

Baryons are made up of any three quarks or any three antiquarks

UP   Symbol: u Charge: + 2/3 e
	DOWN   Symbol: d Charge: - 1/3 e
