A word from President Larry

In this special 40th anniversary year for the club, I am honoured to be its Lion President .   Since forming in 1969, Howth Sutton Lions have served the local and wider communities in many practical ways.

Over the years the Club has shared almost €2.6 million in finance and kind with those in need.  During the past year alone over €80,000 in money and food hampers (>200) were distributed by the Club to a broad range of needs and worthy causes in the area.  This included the purchase of a brainwave scanner for the Headway organisation for Acquired Brain Injury at a cost to the club of €21,830.

In the current constrained economic conditions, more and more will need our help. We very much welcome corporate funding; needless to say the generous support of the people in our area is essential to the lifeblood of the Club.
