CELEBRATING 60 YEARS IN CORK
Chers Amis, Dear Friends, A Chaoin Cairde, 2007 will mark a very important year in the history of this Alliance Française, as we celebrate 60 years of teaching French and promoting the French culture here in Cork. Founded in October 1947, Alliance Française de Cork is proud to be part of a worldwide network of over 1000 Alliances in 135 countries. The organization was established in Paris in 1883 and is one of the largest educational bodies in the world.
Alliance Française has a very exciting year-long cultural programme in place to celebrate this important moment in our history.

Let’s further strengthen the long established and cherished cultural Franco-Irish links throughout this year : visit our gallery and admire the works of very fine French and Irish Artists. Do not miss the highlight of our year’s celebrations - the 18th Cork French Film Festival 1st - 9th March at the Gate cinema and Triskel, bringing you such cinematic delights as Jean Cocteaus’s La belle et la Bête and Paris, je t’aime produced by Claudie Ossard.
