EGYPT:
In "The Physician's Tomb", at Saqqara, Egypt dated at 2330 B.C there ia a wall painting depicting two men working on the feet of another two men. This has been widely accepted as one of the earliest records of a reflexology treatment.

CHINA:
The Chineese have a form of reflexology that is supposedly as old as accupuncture.

NORTH AMERICAN INDIANS:
For centuries the Cherokee Indians of North Carolina have acknowledged the importance of the feet in maintaining physical, mental and spiritual balance. Jenny Wallace, a Cherokee Indian who practices as a foot therapist has said:

"The feet walk upon the Earth and through this your spirit is connected to the universe. Our feet are our contact with the Earth and the energies that flow through it".
