Tribute to Seamus Horgan

Seamus Horgan was there for everyone to see,

He had a mighty game in ‘73

When balls came flying he bounced on them

He warned his backs not to let them in.

The cats had forwards and mighty men

Could not break down Horgan’s men

You had O’Brien and crotty and Broderick too

They were flyers with the ball but could not get through.

Now don’t forget our full back line

With Hartigan, Moore and the bold O’Brien.

Eamonn Cregan in the centre, a proud centre back

Would not let Deleaney build up an attack.

Sean Foley was there, he had a fantastic game,

And the great Phil Bennis was doing the same

The cats were frustrated when they could not get through

Then the McCarthy cup was on it’s way to Tour.
