Hello, my name is Mairead and welcome to my webpage. I have based my webpage on my daughter Ciara Patricia, on safety and games with children and also on the work of the world famous children's photographer Anne Geddes. Well, to begin Ciara was born at 1.26pm on Friday 13th of August 1999 in St. Munchin's Regional Maternity Limerick. I had Ciara during my summer holidays before my final year in secondary school.

My first reaction was to give up school and take on the role of motherhood full-time but I was advised not to so I decided to stay on to study for my Leaving Certificate. So I sat my leaving and passed it in June 2000. Ciara is fifteen months now and she is stuck in everything.

Like any baby, Ciara likes to be the centre of attention at all times. She loves music and will sing the first two lines of the Barney theme tune on demand. She is Daddies girl and he is so proud to think that he has thought her the chorus of the song "Who Let The Dogs Out" and the "what's up" phrase off the Budweiser advertisement. It's funny to hear her do it the first few times but not repeatedly at 7am. Well Ciara goes to her babysitter five days a week while I go to work. She likes it there and I think that it is good for her there because she is learning from the other children, and it also helps her learn how to co-operate with others.

Ciara picks up things very fast and she has already realised that roguery will always get you what you want when you want it. She is spoilt rotten by everyone. She has many words like "Hi Baby", "Bye Baby", "Lady", "Mam", "Dad", and her big favourite at the moment "NO". Ciara is a total rogue and the apple of my eye. At times, you would feel like it but I wouldn't give her back for the world.
