R-34 GT-R
Most people consider the R-34 to be not as beautiful looking then it's R-33 predecessor, while this may be true depending of course on your taste in cars, its an undeniable fact that the car is more aerodynamic. The undertray has been greatly improved in this area, giving improved downforce at high speed. There are air intakes at the sides of the font bumper to allow cooler air to flow into the discs thus stopping the breaks from overheating as they tend to do when the car is pushed to the limit. The rear carbon fiber spoiler is also 4 way adjustable to aid in improving handling.
Inside the car, right in the middle of the dashboard sits an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) color screen which it not just an handy satellite navigation system but so much more. With the press of a few buttons you can cycle through displays for tacho and boost gauges, exhaust gas temps, oil and water temps. There is even a G-force gauge to see either the g-force created when the pedal hit the floor or to be impressed by the almost 1G pull to the side when tackling a tight corner. Not only that but the readings can be saved for later use to be played back on screen or to be transferred to computer for further study.
R-34 GT-R V-SPEC
The V-Spec is basically the same as the standard GT-R apart from an improved, more intelligent version of the ATTESSA 4WD system. It is also slightly faster due to even more improved aerodynamics, yet it still would be hard to see the difference between the two models aprt from the "V-Spec" badge on the back of the more desired model.
R-34 GT25 TURBO
Released a few moths before the R34 GT-R the rear wheel drive 25GT-T gave plenty of performance with it's 280 bhp engine. While just been an updated RB25DET it nevertheless drive the car to the quarter mile in about 14 seconds making it the second most desirable production R34, giving way to its bigger sister, the GT-R.
The HICAS 4 wheel steering was every bit as good as the GT-R helping to keep the car stable at high speed cornering, but was let down by soft shocks that gave an extra bit of comfort that was lacking on the GT-R, but which was also one of the GT-R secrets for good handling. Overall a great car which should serve the needs for people who want performance without the high price of a pure GT-R.
