The R-33 GT-R was the first skyline to become widely know and adored within Europe, it is also the first to be sold in Europe after Nissan realised how popular it would become. Basically the same as the R-32 GT-R apart from been a little heavier and larger then it predecessor. With the added weight it was still faster on racetrack due to better handling because of improved refinements in the ATTESSA 4WD system and better suspension.

Other changes have been mostly cosmetic in nature, with more curves smoothly shaping its aerodynamic body and having more dials on the dash to give impressive engine readouts. The RB26DETT engine remained the same which is no bad thing considering the performance of the R-32 GT-R and by the fact that this car was the first road production car to run the Nurburgring in Germany in about 8 Minutes.

The R33 had great success within Group A racing before the formula ended. However the R33 did had the chance to race in Japanese N1 production class racing and also GT class racing compeating witht the likes of the Ferrari F40, McLaren F1 and the Toyota Supra Turbo.

NISMO 400R
Nismo (Nissan Motorsport Wing) improved on the R-33 GT-R with the more impressive 400R. Basically having bigger alloys and racing suspension along with a bigger 2.8 litres engine producing 400 BHP which is amazing for a road going car.
