Accommodation / General Information

Ballinastoe House, guesthouse and B&B, is as close as you get to heaven in Ireland. Nestled on the slope of the Djouce Mountain, it is Ireland's highest guesthouse and B&B enjoying panoramic views of the Garden County. See map below.

Ballinastoe House, is a purpose built guesthouse conforming to all fire, safety and health regulations. However, none of the charm of yesteryear is lost; each room is furnished with handmade cottage furniture and all rooms are ensuite. The overall construction theme of the house is, Country Lodge, utilising native timbers and salvaged brick wherever practical.

We offer a full breakfast of cereals, yoghurts, fruit and cooked produce. All muesli and yoghurts are organic; our eggs are free range from our own hens; bacon and sausage are sourced from local organic butchers. Field mushrooms are served in season. A selection of homemade brown and soda breads with locally made preserves, marmalades and honey are also served.

Ballinastoe House is ideally suited as a holiday centre from which to explore County Wicklow - The Garden County of Ireland. Perched high up in the Wicklow Mountains it is only 40 minutes from the heart of Dublin, with its cultural and exciting entertainment easily accessible. Within a few minutes drive of the fantastic wilderness of the Sally and Wicklow Gaps, the lush valleys of Ashford and Delgany stretch out below. The 12th century monastic settlement of Glendalough is 6 miles away and the golden beaches of Brittas Bay are only a half hour drive.
