They originally lived at Cahirnacaha and moved to Kilmore between 1837 and 1840.

John Lucey died 29th Sept 1864 aged 75 and is buried in St Gobnaits Ballyvourney

Denis married to Mary Dineen lived at Cahirnacahy.

Cornelius married to Margaret Creedon lived at Cahirnacahy. 

Catherine married to James Moynihan lived at Cahirnacahy

Margaret married to Daniel Lynch lived at Lackavane

Ellen married to Andrew Moynihan lived at Cahirnacahy & moved to Gortheenflugh about 1837

Michael married Mary Kelleher 21st Oct 1864- there is no record of their children in Inchigeelagh

Cornelius married Mary Vaughan on 13th Feb 1844 they lived at Kearyreehean.He died on 3rd Feb 1906 and is buried in Dromtarriffe Cemetery.

Daniel Lucey married Nora Lehane and they lived at Derrivoling

Mary Lucey married Cornelius Walsh of Carriganima on the 24th of Feb 1846 - witnesses were Edmond Walsh and  John Lucey (Ref Inchegeela Parish Register  No.72 Page 995.) However if she were a daughter of the eleder John Lucey (Abbey Swiney's  husband ) then she would have only have been about 15 when she got married which is highly unlikely. It is much more likely that there is either a mistake in the entry on the register and that she was born earlier or married later. It is also a possibility that she was a sister of the elder John Lucey but why was she listed as being from Kilmore rather than Cahirnacahy.These Walsh's had a pub in Carriganima. Maggie Walsh who ran the pub  always insisted that she was a second cousin of the O'Connells .Sho died about 1978 and was either a grandniece or a granddaughter of Cornelius Walsh and was married to a man named Murphy -a brother of Charles Murphy who married Anne Duggan of Shandangan. Maggie Walsh's daughter Angela was a teacher in Cork and is still alive

  Catherine Lucey (known as Kate) married  Benjamin Shorten  on 3rd feb 1863 - witnesses were William Shorten & John Lucey.This man was also godfather of the younger Margaret Lucey (Julia Lynch's daughter). Their son also Benjamin who was born       c. 1875 had a pub in Ballingeary and their great grandchildren still live in Ballingeary today.

Hannah Lucey was married to Cornelius Healy and they lived at Gurthnafludig

Their family were:

 A John Lucey was witness to most  marraiges. It appears at the time that it was only men who were witnesses at weddings and it is  possible that it were the fathers of the Bride & Groom.
