1930

1931: This picture was taken in September 1931 - the house photographed is still in use today and has been recently renovated. The people in the photo are believed to be Kate Dalton and her son Nicholas. Both of them appear the following year in the List of Electorate (1932). The photo is quite small so we cannot be fully certain. Nicholas also appears in the 1930 Athletic team photo.

Pre 1940: Patrick O'Rourke's house in Ballyboughan. The house is no longer standing today.
Patrick is listed in 2 of our documents in the Download area - the 1901 Census and the 1932 List of Electorate.

1967: Creamery Cans - pictured here is local farmer Peter Lalor preparing the last delivery of unpasteurised milk to the Sacred Heart Home Roscommon. The date was the 31st March 1965, and we are told it was 6:10 p.m.!

1967: View from Fuerty Rd towards The Lough (Loughnaneane) with Roscommon Castle in the background. If you click on the photograph to enlarge, you will see people walking across the Lough for a football match in St Coman's Park. St Coman's held some memorable games in the past including 3 All-Ireland Semi-finals (1929,1930 and 1936 - all involving Mayo and Kerry)
