KERRY SPORTS STAR BANQUET

Last Friday night at the Gleneagle Hotel The Kerry Sports Star Banquet took place. It was a historical night for Ballymacelligott as Maria Daly and John Lenihan were nominated for the Kerry Sports star awards. Maria was nominated for the female special youths award and John was Kerry Sports star of the month for May. Maria was one of six girls nominated and to the delight of her supporters on the night she won the award in her category.
Maria has a rare talent for one so young. Once again Maria has brought great honor to our game and to her Club.

Ballymacelligott GAA Social

The Ballymacelligott GAA Social was held on Saturday night last at Ballingarry House Hotel. There was a very large attendance and the special guest on the night was Sean Walsh, Chairman of Kerry County Board

. Special presentations were made to the following for their work and commitment to the Club over the years: Jerome McEllistrim, Ted O Keeffe, Michael Savage, Michael O Sullivan, Mike Sweeney, Deecie O Keeffee and Tony Riordan. The Handball and Gaa Clubs also gave the four All Ireland handball winners Tracey Buckley, Sharon Daly, Sandy McSwiney and Maria Daly a special presentation. All presentations were made by Sean walsh, Chairman of the County Board.
