The Late Ir Ch Silvae Fitzfine, 1 CC and 1 RCC - (Am Ch / Ch Starbarrack Diamond ex Silvae Fitznicely) - died October 2005
Mavis came to us after getting Pip and Olive. While chatting on the phone one night to Jill I asked her if she had another, she said she only had Mavis but if I was willing I could have her.
Mum picked her up from WELKS the day before she went in to hospital for the last time. I took her out the next week and won in a good entry, I relayed her news back to her and I believe she was very happy about it. I tried to show her and the others in remembrance of Jill.
Boy, did we have a good time!
She was made up in record time, winning on the Circuit and at the club show topping it with RBIS and doing the double in both ways with Pip and Olive aswell.
I took her to Blackpool mainly to see what they looked like next to other Wires and came away with the RCC I was dumbfounded, the next English show was the Dachshund Club where she won limit and was the best Wire not a champion. In September 2004 she won her first CC at the Dachshund Club after winning open bitch.
But most importantly she was a wonderful friend and truly ladylike here at home, loved by all the members of the house.
In October 2005 whilst whelping her first litter we lost her under tragic circumstances, we were and will always be devastated. She was one in a thousand.
Thank you Mavis, you were truly beautiful even if you didn't want other people to know it, wait for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
