The first school was built on
the current site in 1885. This picture shows that first school with a
porch added in 1928.

The new building had
two classrooms. The principal was Mr. Philip O' Farrell and his assistant
teacher was Mrs. Frances Gaffey.

Some years later an
extra classroom (now our computer room) was added to the left hand side of
the building. This aerial shot gives an interesting glimpse of the
surrounding countryside.

In 1964 the principal
of Cornamaddy N.S. Mr. Philip O' Farrell left the school to take up
another post in Dublin. The teacher on his right is Miss Nora Quinn who
became Principal in 1980.

Prefabs arrived in the
late 1970's and 1980. The prefab in the picture dates from 1980 and
survived until October 2001.

In 1987 the extension
to the 1953 building was completed and opened in September of that year.
