The bentonite clay waterproofing membrane consists of a uniform layer of sodium bentonite, sandwiched between two durable layers of woven and non-woven puncture resistant polypropylene fabric. The clay membrane is needle-punched to the polypropylene by thousands of high strength fibers and then thermally fused, thus locking the high swelling natural sodium bentonite into place.
