Rosie
CH Benton Midnight Hour
(GB Ch Swittwood Benny the Dip x Benton It's A Cracker)
1st April 2003
(HT 1)
Our most recent champion at Benton Boxers, Rosie started her show career in fine style winning Puppy Bitch at Cloghran Ch show aged just 6 months. This was on the day that Ch Benton Celtic Fusion won his qualifying Green Star to gain his title of Champion. Her second show as a puppy was at the Irish Kennel Club Ch Show on St Patrick’s day 2004 where she won Best Puppy Bitch, Best Boxer Puppy and to put icing on the cake, won the puppy working group. At the tender age of only 12 months, Rosie won her first Green Star under renowned UK breed specialist Mr Philip Greenway.
We were not always able to attend shows in 2004 and 2005 due to our commitments to the boarding kennels, however, Rosie had some great wins and gained her title of Champion at the Drogheda Championship show in September 2005. Rosie has also won a CACIB and 3 Reserve CACIBs and was the Irish Boxer Society of Irelands Best Boxer Bitch for 2004.

Maggie
Benton Destiny's Child
(Roamaro Beau Jolais x Walkon Kookaburra)
26th April 2001
(HT 1)
The only puppy in Sophie’s last litter to Roamaro Beau Jolais, her mother spoiled her rotten! Maggie is full of fun and devilment but generally still manages to behave herself most of the time in the show ring. She has won Green Stars and several Reserve Green Stars, frequently reserve to her kennelmate Rosie. Maggie recently produced a litter of 5 very typey puppies to IRCh and GB Ch Sandcliffe Snog in the Fog at Jimbren. From this litter we have kept a dark brindle bitch called Bonny (Benton Monday’s Child). At only 6 months old, Bonny won best puppy at her first championship show under UK breed specialist Margaret Wildman. Maggie herself is back in the show ring and looks forward to strutting her stuff.

Carrie
Benton Charisma
(Ch Benton Rob Roy x Walkon Kookaburra)
16th October 1999
(HT 0)
Nelson’s Sister Carrie lost out a bit to her big brother who stormed ahead of her in the show ring. She had a great puppy career winning many best puppy awards and has also won Green Stars and several Reserve Green Stars. Carrie has a super temperament and is now retired spending her days pottering around the kitchen and greeting visitors to the kennels. Carrie has a beautiful loving nature and will mother any puppies that arrive at Benton Boxers.

Tara
Benton It's A Cracker
(Tyegarth Premier Cru at Glenfall x Walkon Kookaburra)
21st April 1997
(HT 1)
From Sophie's first litter ( see Sophie's page for her pups at 4 weeks ), Tara is a super Boxer with the most loving temperament. Tara was never crazy about the show ring, finding it all a bit boring. She did occasionally turn on her charm and has won Green Stars and several Reserve Green Stars. She has produced some beautiful puppies, most notably Rosie ( CH Benton Midnight Hour ). She has a steady easygoing personality and is thoroughly enjoying her retirement. She still loves nothing better than a good game of ball.
