This is the mash tun, it is made of two vessels a stainless steel beer keg inside a large steel barrel. The gap between the two is 4 inches and is filled with foam insulation. The keg is upside down with a hole cut in the bottom (now the top), the original hole (the one the beer & gas went in & out through) has a pipe attached that comes out the side of the large barrel for run off. Above this is a stainless steel mesh false bottom, it is sufficiently flexible that I can take it out for cleaning. The gap between the keg and barrel is bridged at the top with a donut shaped piece of fiber-board (MDF). The most difficult thing was finding someone who would fill the thing with foam insulation, eventually I found a small company that make insulated steel panels, a few bottles of home brew and I had my mash tun ready to use.
