Description

lymphatic system, indications and contraindications for
lymph drainage massage, principles and basic movements of

is a simple explanation of the lymphatic system and an
explanation of when and why a therapist would pick this
technique for his/her clients.
About the Author
Ramona Moody French is the owner of Desert Resorts School
of Somatherapy in Desert Hot Springs, California. She has
been teaching and practicing massage for twenty years and
specialized in lymph drainage massage and deep tissue
massage. Ramona has taught these techniques at many
massage schools in California, Nevada, and Montana.

This well-written and informative book is easy to read
and attractive in design. It has interested me in lymph
drainage massage and does make a truly approachable,
professional, and significant contribution to the field
of massage therapy. The text and numerous how-to photos
are clear, the diagrams are technical yet artistic, and
the two-column design for text works well. Ramona's
knowledge and grace with this specialty are filled with
rapport.

This is the essential, basic textbook for the serious
therapist of Manual Lymphatic Drainage, compiled by the
people closest to Dr. Vodder himself. It includes a
comprehensive section on the physiology of the lymphatic
system and introduction to the techniques (although this
is no substitute for attending a good course). It
provides a guide to all aspects of a treatment regime
from breathing exercises to bandaging. I have found the
section on dealing with specific ailments most useful and
a reassuring support when dealing with my own patients.
