Born in Dublin in 1930 / carpenter by trade / worked on building sites for many years / trade union organiser for UCATT 1982-1995 / active in left politics from youth to present day/  Communist Party of Ireland until 1975 / Labour Party from 1976 to present

Currently Secretary of the Dublin Council of Trade Unions
from 1979 to the present
