Weekly scout meeting takes on Thursday nights from 7.30p.m. to 9.30p.m there is also a badge work session on Friday nights for those who are intrested to earn merit badges and progress their way up the National Awards sheme.
The leaders for the scout section are Aidan Forde, Martin Murphy, Mark Kenneally, Bobby Kidney and Tony White. These are helped in their jobs by the Venturers and the Court of Honour. The programmes for the meetings are decided by the Court of Honour.
The Scouting experience begins when a boy reaches the age of 11 and goes on until he is 16. The scout programme in Ballinlough is centered around outdoor activities and goes much beyond the scout hall on Thursday nights as you will see if you look in the page on some of the recent activities.
