  • ARTHUR LLOYD  This is a wonderful site about the author's own theatrical ancestry but it is also a great source for anyone interested in tracing their theatrical roots or just a general interest in the history of the theatre.   

  • "THE STAGE" ARCHIVE Absolutely wonderful resource for those tracing ancestors with a theatrical background.

  • ANCESTRY     A must for any computer wise genealogist.

  • Glasgow University Special Collections,    a large collection of theatre playbills, programmes, etc.

  • The Mitchell Library Glasgow,  The best resource for those with Glasgow/West of Scotland roots.

  • Backstage    Theatre Database Website.  This is actually offline at the moment but it really is worth having a look when it does eventually come back online again.

  •  Leeds Playbill site   Playbills relating to Leeds theatres.
