School Days.
When I was young, I was no fool,
Because I lived right by the school,
Some days were wet, some days were fine,
But that never stopped me from being on time,
When the long day was at an end,
I'd sit and talk with my best friend,
Dublin city was from where she came,
"Shannon Landren" is her name,
We talked of buildings Oh-so high,
And the tallest Spike that reached the sky,
We talked about the cows and sheep,
And how at lambing time we got no sleep,
When we had the talking done,
We set out for home to see our mum
I had my tea, My homework's done,
My eyes are tired, I've had my fun.
