Calypso's main objectives are

• To push the boundaries of theatrical creativity while at the same time making it relevant to the complex and turbulent world it explores

• To promote an awareness of social issues through the production of highly creative, innovative and new work for theatre
  
  
• To promote the understanding of issues of human rights, world development, justice, peace and reconciliation through the publication and dissemination of creative information packs, leaflets and educational material in conjunction with theatrical productions
  
  
• To reach existing audiences, to cultivate new targeted audiences and to implement a policy of inclusiveness in relation to the arts
  
  
• To nurture new partnerships to support our work and the strategic development of the company.
