SPORTS NEWS

Thanks to the Raheens Club for sponsoring our after match party for all those who participated in the inter-class league..  After 48 matches Mayo led by Paul O’Brien won a very exciting final against a great Limerick team led by Mark Campbell.  The matches were entered into with great vigour and were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Both boys and girls from 6th class are participating in the inter school league at present.  Thanks to Mary Dunne and Liz Roche for giving freely of their time to allow the pupil’s participation in these competitions.  We look forward to a New Year of Sport in 2003 in the hope that as many as possible in Caragh school will be involved.

GREEN SCHOOL PROJECT

The Green School Committee would like to thank everyone who helped us with our activities during the past year.  2002 was a very successful green year and we hope with your continued support 2003 will be even greener.  As always if you have any ideas or suggestions please contact us.

CHRISTMAS

RECYCLING

Over the Christmas period Silliot Hill Recycling Centre outside Kilcullen will be open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4.30pm with the exception of 25th , 26th Dec + Jan 1st.

All your glass, aluminium cans, batteries, cardboard and paper, plastic bottles, Christmas trees and metals will be accepted for recycling so why not head along to recycle some of the Christmas excess.  With so much extra waste at Christmas time it is an ideal time to start recycling.
