This competition was a Three- Ball scramble played on a cold wet winters day, when only the Kerrymen relished the conditions. New Captain for 2002, Fergus Lynch, maintained the Captains tradition of getting a prize, by anchoring the winning team along with his Castle Manor companions Paul O Connell Don Mc Auliffe.They only edged out the TAYTO sponsored team of Pa Beausang John Roche and Kieran O Keeffe by virtue of their handicap. Both teams had finished level par.
