Pied wagtails are often seen in towns, feeding along the streets
And town gardens. They feed mainly on insects. We see them
Every day in the school yard or on the roof. They roost in
Large flocks in winter. One such roost can be found on
The Mill Road in Ennis. The Cuckoo sometimes lays her
Her egg in a Pied Wagtails nest. The flight is
Bounding and the birds commonly call as they fly.
