Magpie

Magpies are a very intelligent and handsome

bird. Their call is a chattering chack- chack.

They build large domed nests made out of twigs,

towards the top of trees. They are black and white,

with a long black tail. We recorded a magpie chattering

on our video. Many people dislike them because they

sometimes rob songbirds' nests. Clarecastle and Doonbeg

teams are called magpies because of the colour jersey

they wear. What Premiership side are nicknamed magpies?
