The Jackdaw.
The Jackdaw is smaller than the rook as we have noticed regulary in the school yard.
Even though they look black they have a grey neck and pale blue eyes.
We noticed one or two building nests in chimneys that are not being used.
The call is a sharp chack.
We see then every sos and lunch time.
We remember seeing the Moony Goes Wild programme
Showing the Jackdaws nest in an old chimney.
It was fun to watch.
