Tuesday, January 5, 1999 Clannad's "Landmarks" Nominated for a Grammy Award! Great news to start off the year! Clannad's album "Landmarks" (released March 1998) has been nominated by The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for the Best New Age Album for the 41st Annual Grammy Awards to take place in Los Angeles, CA on February 24, 1999. Clannad's "Landmarks" is nominated in the Best New Age Album category along with the "Sound Of Wind Driven Rain" by Will Ackerman (on Windham Hill Records), "The Water Garden" by Alex de Grassi (on Tropo Records), "Gaia Onbashira" by Kitaro (on Domo Records), and "Grand Passion" by John Tesh (on GTSP Records).
