This is the new first turn out fire Appliance for Carrigaline fire and rescue it is a SCANIA 220 and it replaces the DENNIS that was our first turn out since 1996. We received the Scania on the 30th of January 2001 and it went on the run one week later. The pump is a Zeigler pump and can pump 500 gallons of water per minute.

Photo From the left shows :-Top shelve Chemical splash suits.On the middle shelve is the firstaid hose reel and three hose branchs. The bottem holds the foam makeing gear (drums of foam compond,Branch & Inductor) a powder fire extinguisher.

Middle photo shows :-On the top are life jackets and more chemical splash suits.The middle shevle holds the infra red camara,oxegen & resuscitator and various firstaid equipment.On the bottem is the portable pump and a foam fire extinguisher.

Photo on the right shows:-On the top is lighting equipment.The middle shelve has the second firstaid reel and also three hose branchs. The bottem shelve has pumps for the RTA gear and a generator for the lighting equipment.


The photos below show :-To the left on top a small extension ladder.Below that are two gas tight suits and rescue line.On the next shelve is various small gear (Hammers,axes and crow bars).And in the photo to the right on the pull out shelve there is the RTA gear and tool box.

The photos above shows the middle lockers on the top right there are salvage sheets and chimney gear.And on the bottem shelve are the 75mm and 45mm fire hose.To the right on the pull out shelve is the stand pipe key and bar with a dividing breaching and a hand controlled hose branch.
