In June ’99 the pupils and staff of our school were invited to the Courthouse in Roscommon for a wonderful event. What was this wonderful event? The Chairman of the County Council wanted to present our school and three other schools in Roscommon with the European Green Flag for environmental work done in the schools on the topic of "Litter and Waste Management". AnTaisce, with the help of Local County Councils, organizes the Green Schools Programme in Ireland.
